Pembroke Pride and Algonquin College’s Pembroke Waterfront Campus invites you to Kindness Rocks! rock painting on Wednesday, June 24, 4 – 6 p.m. The goal is to paint as many kindness rocks as you like, talk about 2sLGBTQ+ topics\themes, and ask questions. Then you can spread your kindness rocks around your community and keep the conversation going!
Supplies You’ll Need:
1. Rocks! 😊 You can use any rocks you find in and around your yard. Or you can purchase some from a local craft store like Michael's or the Dollar Store. Be sure to wash any rocks from outside before you begin. We recommend your rocks be at least 2 to 3 inches and have at least one flat side.
2. Craft paint – the more colours the better so that we can celebrate Pembroke Pride to the fullest.
3. Several small paintbrushes, round shape works best.
4. Cups or bowls for water to rinse brushes.
5. Paper towels or rags.
Optional:
1. Sharpie pens in multiple colours. These are a great option to paint, especially for little kids.
2. Glitter or glitter glue pens.
3. Craft glue.
4. Sequins, gemstones, and any other decorations you may want to add to your rocks.
